Skiing and Snowboarding in Chile
The area is known for its big snowfalls in late July and throughout August. Due to its elevation, Chile features open bowls that sit above the tree line similar to what you might find in Alpine or Glacier areas in North America or Europe…but again, without the crowds. The beauty of Valle Nevado is the vastness of the terrain and its proximity to other ski areas and the city of Santiago. The beauty of Termas is that it also features tree skiing at lower elevations. The glade skiing in Termas is based in forests featuring spread out trees with moderate gradients of steepness. One of the tree lines is known as the “Japan Trees”, because as you might have guessed, resembles skiing in Japan.
Valle Nevado – Evolve Chile
Evolve Chile is an exclusive partner with world-class ski resort, Valle Nevado, where our campers get to ski and snowboard in a wide variety of open bowls and steep terrain. There is also a solid park for those who enjoy shredding rails and hitting jumps. Coaches work with campers on whatever element they want to learn or take to the next level. The beauty of Valle Nevado is that the mountain is also attached to two other resorts, El Colorado and La Parva, which offer a completely different terrain. The two mountains are interconnected by ski lifts and the average snowfall is about 7 meters.
