Ski and Snowboard Camp in Chile

While other camps offer spring conditions, Evolve Chile Ski and Snowboard Camp gives you fresh, cold powder sessions in July and August! Although we cannot guarantee fresh pow every day, we can guarantee the most diverse terrain in all of South America. Come Ski Chile with Evolve!

Every camp session happens mid winter in Chile, making for more than just terrain park riding and feature hiking. Our terrain is suited for skiers and snowboarders who are strong intermediates or advanced. Evolve Chile ski and snowboard coaches will introduce you to a variety of natural features like tree riding and big-mountain lines. We love booters too! Our coaches team up with campers to build and train on the homemade jumps of your dreams.

Everyone in the Evolve Chile family is required to wear avalanche beacons and helmets, and campers are trained on basic avalanche backcountry safety skills – running rescue drills and practicing scenarios. You won’t find this in North America during summer.

The Resorts

Evolve Chile operates out of two resorts, Valle Nevado and Nevados de Chillan. Many areas in Chile are known for big snowfalls in late July and throughout August. Due to its elevation, Chile features open bowls that sit above the tree line, similar to what you might find in Alpine or Glacier areas in North America or Europe but without the crowds. The beauty of Valle Nevado is the vastness of the terrain and its proximity to other ski areas and the city of Santiago. The beauty of Termas is that it also features tree skiing at lower elevations. The glade skiing in Termas is based in forests featuring spread out trees with moderate gradients of steepness. One of the tree lines is known as the “Japan Trees”, because as you might have guessed, it resembles skiing in Japan. Our youth camp runs out of Valle Nevado while our adult program runs out of Termas de Chillan.

People always ask us to compare Chile to another country or our mountains to another mountain, but in reality, Chile is just Chile. You can’t really compare it. You have to experience it for yourself to gain an appreciation for it. Some of our campers come back to Evolve year after year, and these are people who are privileged enough to ski all over the world. The terrain is just part of the reason for that kind of dedication!
